Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Cory.

I’ve been working in technology since the late 1980s and leading technology teams for over 30 years. Throughout my career, I’ve noticed a common thread in the tech space: a serious lack leadership skills. 

The reality is that most leaders in technology—myself included at one point—are thrust into leadership roles with ZERO formal training, mentorship, or support. We’re expected to figure it all out as we go. It’s no surprise that so many leaders feel unsure of how to truly lead their teams.

I know this pain firsthand. I've been on the receiving end of awful leadership, and I know how frustrating and demoralizing it feels. When I became a leader myself as an engineering VP and CTO, I realized I wasn’t immune—I struggled too. I had no idea how to inspire others, communicate effectively, or handle conflict.

But I wasn’t willing to settle for "good enough."

To become the leader I aspired to be, I had to face my own demons... to confront limiting beliefs... embrace vulnerability.... unlearn habits that weren’t serving me—or my teams. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.

Over the years, I sought out the best mentors, learned from my mistakes, and developed my own approach to leadership—one rooted in authenticity, self-awareness, and practical strategies. Along the way, I discovered that leadership isn’t just about managing others; it’s also about growing yourself.

This course is the culmination of that journey. It’s my way of helping leaders like you avoid the mistakes I made and fast-track your own growth.

My approach is inspired by my engineering background: it’s practical, direct, and focused on real-world results. There’s no fluff or corporate jargon here—just actionable tools and strategies to help you lead with confidence, clarity, and impact.
